What We Do
Food & Beverage
VDV Concessions LLC (VDV) has a collaborative relationship with food and beverage leader, HMS Host. Today, the joint venture partnership, Host VDV CMH FB, LLC, owns and operates Eddie George's 27 Grille, branded by Tennessee Titan's and Ohio State University's Heisman Trophy winner, Eddie George. This restaurant is situated in the Columbus, Ohio International Airport. In addition, Host and VDV operated four Starbucks locations at the Detroit Metropolitan Airport. Previously, Ana partnered with Host in Indianapolis, to help establish 4 restaurants and 3 Starbucks venues coinciding with the then newly constructed airport facility.
Currently at DTW, VDV also owns and operates the flagship Mezza Mediterranean Grille with partner, Areas USA, a pacesetter in the airport food and beverage concession industry. Mezza offers authentic Mediterranean cuisine in a welcoming family-oriented dining environment.
While Eddie George 27 has exceeded revenue expectations, Mezza continues to bring to DTW a very special magic. There is even more to come.
VDV is food and beverage, ACDBE and DBE, certified by the Department of Transportation.
Retail Concessions
In conjunction with prominent airport retailer, Paradies-Lagardére, HMS Host and VDV operated 4 crowd pleasing Starbucks at DTW.
As a former retail partner with Paradies, Ana chaired the Paradies-Metro Ventures Companies Board of Directors for more than 10 years. This partnership operated up to 30 retail locations including Brooks Brothers, Brighton, PGA Tour, DTW Travel Mart and CNBC News at DTW for more than 20 years. Ana, also served as president of the Metro Ventures companies and functioned as, Joint Venture Liaison, Audit Chair, Finance Committee Chair, and was responsible for senior management supervision and ACDBE operational reviews.
VDV is an ACDBE and DBE certified firm in the retail area.
Consulting Services
Through Ana McCune Van de Velde's experience, VDV has an extensive background in consulting and benchmarking projects. Today, the company represents/ has represented brands such as Mezza Mediterranean Grille, Tubby's, Just Baked, SavannahBlue, and Gayety's Chocolate and Ice Cream Company. In addition, the company provides promotional, marketing, and graphic design support.
Previously, Ana was involved in high level benchmarking and strategic assessments within the automobile industry and internationally. She has acquired ACDBE and DBE certification for VDV through the U.S. Department of Transportation in this area of expertise.

University-Purdue University Indianapolis. Vernon previously served as Assistant to the Chancellor for
Communications. He was also Vice President- Communications at Indiana Black Expo. Vernon has authored four
books and penned twelve plays produced in the Midwest. Currently, Vernon writes a column for the Chicago and Gary
Crusader Newspaper.
If asked to describe Ana McCune van de Velde with three adjectives, I would use: Versatile. Engaging. Global. These three words disentangle the divergent path Ana has taken regarding career, altruistic pursuits and innermost passions.
Ana once told me that a senior level AT & T executive astutely advised that a key to success is to never turn down an assignment. Internalization of that wisdom has driven her impressive professional career.
A myriad of diverse assignments have brought Ana to her current role in development and ownership of VDV Concessions, LLC, having benefited from retail, food and beverage concession opportunities within the Detroit, Michigan and Columbus, Ohio airport communities while partnering with industry giants HMS Host, Areas, USA, and Paradies.
